The M14 was new guy on the block when I was in basic Shot expert at Knox with it in early Dec. Loved that rifle. A local gunsmith named Roy Shufelt but a custom that did well at Camp Perry.
My buddy shot high power with one of those. Shot with and made friends with R. Lee Ermey. He was a nice guy he said. Curtis could offhand shoot a stop sign at 600 yards before he ripped his shoulder out. Now we shoot off bipods/rests and sticks for BPCR.
I met the Gunny at the one and only S.H.O.T. show that I managed to get into. Also met Bob Munden and Tom Knapp at that same show. Three nicer guys you'll never meet. They're all gone now, though.
