Im a green horn and this is my first shotgun. What are the conditions on shooting steel shot from this, I just bought 250 rounds and I am trying to figure out if I can use my steel shot shells. Any insights would be appreciated!

Welcome from Florida! What does your owner's manual say?

Says it will accommodate steel shot however steel shot up to and including size #2 should not be fired through with a choke tighter than modified. If shot larger than #2, the tightest choke used should be an improved cylinder. I don't know what a choke is and I bought the right caliber, 2 3/4" which is less than 3, 7/8 oz steel shot 7.....Much of this is over my head

The changeable choke tubes are what is in the end of your barrel; your gun most likely came with a few. Choke describes the amount of constriction: Cylinder is the same diameter as the barrel, Improved Cylinder has a little constriction, Modified some more than that and Full the most of all. Shot sizes get bigger as the number goes lower, so #7 is SMALLER than #2.
Personally with your total lack of knowledge on this, you might want to take a basic shotgun class so you are safe out there while hunting.
