Purchased a Model 12, serial # indicates manufactured 1914, purpose was for use in WILD Bunch SASS shooting. Classification calls for either 1897 or 1912 pump shotgun. Disassembled and cleaned thoroughly. Stiff and rough in the pump action. Worked over action lightly, polishing pump action. No help. How should I go forward? Back to Winchester or can someone recommend a smith that has worked with Winchester's or what is best route? I am located in East Tennessee. Any help appreciated.

The Winchester of today is only a name owned by Browning..........Your best best is a REAL gunsmith......Not a parts changer...........I have mdl 12's......The forend has to move forward slightly when it fires to unlock the action......Recoil takes cares of that and you won't notice it........Iffen ya snap it you will have to manually push it foreard to get the action to release...........Did you lube it well when ya reassembled it? All screws tight?
