I have a Winchester model 12 with a ventilated rib. No engraving. Barrel measures almost 28-3/4". Barrel is marked Super Speed & Super X 3". I assumed this made it a heavy duck gun. Blue book values vary greatly in my Blue Book of Gun Values. I am not sure which one I have. Any help? Serial number is 1587218.

I can't help on the gun's grade, but it was made in 1954 according to the info that I have.
The folks at the Winchester Collector website may be able to help you further.

There are a couple on Gunbroker right now. One at $605.00 (26 bids) with 18 hours left. Nice looking and in good condition.

The other has a Cutts and starting bid of $849.00 (zero bids) and a little over 2 days left.
