Bought my good friend a used Remington 870. Got it for a great price. His wedding is coming up and I wanted to give it to him as a home defense gun/range/fun gun. I was gonna get the stock inscribed with something like initials and dates of his wedding along with a saying or something. Here's what I came up with:

"may your home always be defended and your love always stay pure"
DPS 5-25-12

Any ideas? Dropping the gun off tomorrow. Thanks.

I hope the bride's okay with weapons in the house.
Yeah she's fine with it. He's shot my 870 tactical and he's itching for one really bad.
Any more suggestions? Dropping gun off tomorrow.
A pre-nup;) And a TT bar!!

I dunno about the inscription. I would maybe just have it refinished and polished to nice gloss.

ya know... just in case the love doesn't stay pure.
If that's what you want to do and what you feel, go for it.
