hello everyone ive got a weatherby orion 12 ga. o/u that sometime does not eject the spent shell when i open it up,is this just a case of me over lubing it when i clean or is it something else entirely? when i lube i use a q-tip and rem oil

It has an automatic ejector it it functioning properly.

Try it with out any lube In the barrel. See how it functions.

sounds like there is a stuck or broken ejector spring.
with the gun broken open, compare the ejectors from the barrel that works to the one that doesn't. they should both be pretty stiff to push in, and spring back out readily. If not, contact a local gunsmith - its not a big deal to get repaired.
