I have a 930 SPX with about 100 rounds through it so far and no real issues.
thinking about a shotgun
Hello all. I am thinking about a new shotgun. In the past I have owned a Mossberg 500 and a Remington 870. Both were good guns. At this time I am thinking about another 870 but I have also been looking at the Mossberg 930 HS. I have never had a semi auto shotgun so I guess my question is are they as reliable as a pump? thanks, Dave

I LOVE my 930SPX, who wouldn't like to put eight 12 gauge rounds down range as fast as you can pull the trigger!
However I have had numerous spring binding issues when fully loaded. I'm looking into aftermarket springs and followers now.
I definitely trust my 590 more.

Well all. I went another way!!!! I just bought a Mossberg 590A1. It has 3 dot sights, 18.5" Bbl, Speed Feed stock (wich I am not sure will stay on the gun.) Parkerized finish ( for now ). All in all it is a nice loking gun, now to get out this weekend a rack a few,, Dave

Which SF stock is on it now? If you look to sell it I might know another member who's interested.
I really dont know to be honest, this is the first time with a speedfeed. However it seems to only want to hold one extra shell on each side. I thought they held 2 per side, I guess I am wrong.Congrats!

It should hold 2 shells on each side. Mine does anyway. Mine were a little stiff when I first got it, but keep trying.
