Thanks for your appreciation. As a veteran I appreciate it, but today isn't for that, it's for remembering those who died preserving our freedom.

Met my siblings this early afternoon at the Cemetery in my home town, we decorated The Old Man and Mom's graves. A variety of iris for Mother-she always loved 'em, and a sprig of sagebrush for the Old Man. You know you are getting old when you knew dang near everybody in the cemetery. Lots of WWII vets I knew growing up, all of them just a few short years older than the Old Man. The government came to the sawmill in town in 1944 recruiting for D-Day, and three that I know of for sure answered the call. They came home, all of them, but were forever changed according to those who knew them best.

I am kinda like you 4575 when you go to the cemetery and know everybody there. I was thanked in church and today for my service and that is what i was trying to convey my thanks to those who gave all.
