There are too many options! Which Surefire forend grip would you recommend? 12 ga Remington 870.

Thanks in advance!

Wow boy the attitude is not necessary nor welcomed here.
I haven't seen any forum members with them. Probably a few running around though. Just looked on surefires web site, it looks like a personal preference thing. Whats your price range, what options do you want, but most of all, do you really need/want one? Or do you just think they look cool?

I looked through the picture post of all the HD shotguns and I believe thats where I got the idea for it. I want it because it looks solid..rather than adding the accessory tri-rail on the magazine - where there is more to fail.

I just don't know if 200 lumens is more than a guy should need or what?

I think they go down to 80? maybe less?
Last time I looked they were in the $300-$400 range. They are nifty but I'm not paying more for my shotgun light than I did for the shotgun. (500 persuader)
Thats why I have been holding off, although I'm to the point now that I have more into accessories for my 870 than I paid for the shotgun itself.

They are super nice and probably worth the money to some one that will take the gun in to harms way but i also cant justify spending more on a light than i did on the shotty.
Mine is a little older, I think it's been discontinued. It works great and is puts out plenty of light for it's intended use. They are a very solid and well made unit. They weren't quite so expensive back when I got mine. If you can live with the price tag I'm sure you'll be happy with it.
Mine is 6 years old. the original 618FA, you can usually find them on the classifieds in your area or other gun forum cheaper than buying new. I did add a LED conversion from a non surefire vendor, and its still been great. I wish mine would have had the master kill switch but a wait from surefire could be as long as a wait from Mr Ciener, IE you will forget you ordered it when it comes in. I personally think Surefires are now overrated over priced lights, but they do own the market for weapon mounted rigs.

Do I still like the 618, yup. Would I buy another one?? Probably if I didnt have the one I have now. Its just one of those things that when you need it you NEED it, and if you dont have it, you WISH you had it. Mine is mounted on a 870P model 4449 that I purchased for a good price from impact guns, which took several months to get here and then they raised the price on line for it twice while I waited but since I PIF they honored their word and did not increase price. Picked up the 2 round factory extension from a guy on ARFcom. GREAT little rig.

I have to agree with the comment on your attitude… NOT needed or wanted on these boards… Sometimes people have to work and can't be on here 24/7 to reply instantly…

Now that being said, I have a few SureFire's on different shotguns, here is one of 4 and this is my favorite…
Winchester 1300 8 shot - love this one...
Is that a Knoxx stock on your Winchester? If it is, then you have the set up I'm working towards - only on my 870.

So far it has the Knoxx Spec ops Gen II stock and forend and the 18'' barrel.

Lucky for me, my birthday is coming up and I put in some requests-
hoping to make out with a mesa tactical side saddle, Knoxx butt stock power pack, Remington +2 magazine extension and the Blackhawk! one pt sling.

All of this with the surefire forend and possibly a red dot or some kind of raised sights.

Today I went to my LGS and bought the Surefire X-300 for my xd 45, it is beautiful. On Surefires website they are asking $275, I got mine for $260!!

I'm going to take a couple pictures and post them up if I can remember my Photobucket password.

I want a 1300, hopefully I'll find one this weekend. If not I'll be picking up another 500.

I had to sneak some ammo pictures in there, any comments on the selections I have picked? I know its off topic, but I figure it still is about HD shotguns.

My newest Benchmade kept sneaking into the pictures somehow???:)

The Surefire light feels solid and looks great on my XD 45, I can not wait to get one for my Remmy now!

By the way, the Surefire light replaced a LaserMax red laser if anyone knows how I could get rid of it?

This is where it is now...after being drilled an tapped and red dot installed.

next will be the mesa tactical side saddle, knoxx power pack, +2 magazine extension, blackhawk! single point sling.

Then I will top it off with the surefire forend SureFire 618LMG LED WeaponLight for Remington 870 — 2-Battery System, 3 Switches

I will keep posting updates here.

I'm also considering this forend for my 870...spent $280 for an express mag 7 shot...so I don't really mind spending the extra cash...as previously stated I don't want to be in a situation where I'm thinking I should've bought it...
