I am very new to shotguns and had a question about this one I bought. It is a Stevens model 67 series E, I know it is a lower end shotgun but I picked it up for what I believe was a good price. Does anyone know anything about these, is steel shot ok? Can I get choke tubes for it? I will be venturing into hunting for the first time in May, so this will be for Turkey at this point. As I said I am out of my element when it comes to hunting and know nothing about it so any feedback would be great.

Haven't seen a 67 since RVN, but as I remember it was a single bar pump action, fairly stout gun made of steel, but before any body was offering choke tubes, 24-26" barrels are normaly chked modified, little longer its again normaly full, the military model is cyl bore and 18" in lenght.

Can't tell ya if steel is ok, don't remember if it was still being made when steel became mandatory for ducks and such.

Do a search on the net,but some oe like Briley should be able to do tubes, but it might cost more than the gun is worth
