Well gonna give it one more shot today with some WD40 and brush. Spoke with Mossberg CS, which they were great! Sent them the pics. Asked me to try and get the rust off and if I couldnt to send the barrel in they would try themselves if not replace it with a new barrel. We shall see..

Oh for F'Ks sake...a teeny spot of rust and you want a whole new barrel

Wipe it down with some CLP...man I though it was bad rust...not just sitting there in the box and got a few dots of surface rust on it rust

You live in HOUSTON...with this heat and humidity and you freak out over a teeny spot of rust...cmon bro

Your correct, if this doesnt come off, im getting a new barrel. Tired of folks saying they dont care about rust and scratches, "its a tool" exactly, You wouldnt buy a "new" hammer with rust, I wouddnt buy a new pick up truck with rust. Same applies to my firearms I work too hard to get something thats rusted out the box? Im aware of normal wear and tear, got plenty of guns with wear. But to me as a consumer its not acceptable. Like I said before, If I cant get the rust out, I will send it off for them to try and get it off, or as "they" stated they would send a barrel if they couldnt. This was offered to me I didnt demand a barrel, I "informed" them as I thik everyone should.

I agree.
Just like I am fine with having some holster wear on my pistol from me wearing it. But I am not going to pay for a new gun that is already blemished.

So I hit the barrel with WD40 let it soak and hit it with a brass brush and scrubbed, NOTHING. I am almost convinced that its not rust after all. Its more yellow than it is brown. It just doesnt budge at all, some sort of stain in the steel when bored

So what you going to do, send it back or just shoot it?
