Anybody have a Mossberg 930

Here is what I would like -a dependable MULTI purpose shotgun
Possible uses
Rabbits / general field use
3 gun /match type
Defense

Is the 930 capable , does it have a barrel with change out chokes?
What else should I look at for the same price range

I've had a 930 for about 4 years. I got the 'field, security combo' IIRC I like the black synthetic.

I use it for HD and trap and it has removable chokes. It shoots pretty soft, I shot 3 other guys guns at trap, (forgot my magazine cap ). After 50 rounds my shoulder hurt and it had never done that with the 930. I wondered why my buddy was done at 50 rounds, now I know (870, 1960's I think).

I didn't like how loose the forearm is on the pumps.

The one double barrel I shot was heavy and hard to get on the clay.

Tacticool stuff is easier to find for the 870.

When I get around to getting another shotgun, it's gonna be a 930 SPX

i wanted one for a little bit and then i was looking at the 1100 and well i shot bouth and like the 1100 more it was the tac 2 and the 930 spx the remington was a little bit havier and it felt solid they both worked really well at the range i just think personaly i like the havier 1100 and there is a little bit more after market parts for it as well

ive got the 930 spx. the only thing i would change is to get the barrel threaded for chokes.
