Saiga 12 or Saiga 308

12 IMHO... Me thinks they are going to quit makeing them soon!

I just ordered a Saiga 12, I had been wanting one bad for a long time... but before I ordered it I was having a hard time finding one, I was considering either a .308 or a .223, just because supplies were more abundant. So I guess a positive for the .308 is you can still find them relatively easy, they are cheaper than the Saiga 12 because of the whole ATF Survey has everyone buying them up, so most suppliers are out of stock and raiseing the prices! Another positive for the .308 is your range and accuracy... your going to get way more distance with it than the Saiga 12. A positive for the the Saiga 12 is it's just plain BADA$$! Where else are you going to find a semi-auto AK-shotgun that can shoot 20rds of #4 buckshot!!! But in the end it's up to you, and what your intended use is going to be for. I'm in agreement with XD.45DUDE, they may quit importing them soon, good luck with whichever one you choose!

Thanks for the input fellas I've been trying to keep up the the ATF import ban BULL}%^*# (when did the government start running US citizens instead of citizens running the government ? I recall a phrase "...FOR the people BY the people, and LIBERY and JUSTICE for all...." they musta forgot that part huh? Ok I'll step off my soap box) I found a guy that has saiga 12s and 308s in stock and at the same price (secret till i get mine ordered lol) I'm leaning towards the 107 over the 109 any input

id get the 12, Ive been thinking of getting one "just because"

get the 308 later, or another 308 platform, the 12ga is a beast unto itself

I'm leaning towards the 12 lz107 I've always loved a good scattergun from what I can gather the only difference between the 107 and 109 is barrel length correct?

Yeah the Iz-107 has a 24" barrel and the Iz-109 has the 19" barrel
