Howdy, Y'all! :D

I'm considering purchasing a new Remington 870 (not particularly an "Express" model).....I've always admired the deep bluing on the old Wingmasters, the grain of the wood stock and fore-end, and the fit and finish in general.....

I purchased a new Model 870 "Sportsman Field" .410 this past spring, and it sports the standard "Express" phosphated finish, with a laminate stock; it shoots accurately and reliably, but I really want the "old school" looks on a newer 12 Gauge I may purchase....

A few pics of the .410 I mentioned above:

A few patterning targets of it's performance at 20 yards:

Remington 3" #5's:

More than adequate for Tree Rats and Bunnies, if I do my part.....

Anyone recently purchased a new Wingmaster, and if so, what are your impressions of it's quality?

I have seen a few new wingmasters and the finish looks good on them. I have an express and the finish is definately not show quality but it is a utility gun so I don't mind beating it up a little.

That 410 is beautiful, love the wood on it.

I apologize for the above post---- my 870 IS an Express, chambered for 2 3/4 and 3" shells. Sorry, I`m getting feeble minded LOL.
