remington 887

I'm thinking about buying an 887 for hunting and I've been reading reviews online about it and as with any gun some people love it and some hate it. I was wondering if anybody here has any personal experience with 1. If so what do you like or dislike about it. I'm also open to suggestions for other shottys for hunting I just don't wanna spend that much money prolly around 500. I could always go with the good ole 870 also.
