Well finally had some time to get some pics up, added the Uncle Mikes swivel cap, and a Blackhawk shotgun shell holder. Simple, funtional and not too "tactical". Last I want to maybe and maybe add a light as I will be now using this as my primary HD. Oh and just picked up a new Gerber compact, I love it!!!

I have really wanted an 870 tactical for awhile. I can never seem to find one at a decent price with the features I am looking for.

They go on sale out here by me pretty cheap. In the $300 to $400 range every so often.

The closest I found mine was Dick Sporting Goods, which was at the time 75 miles away, I just moved to said place for college. The only thing I dislike was the 3 day waiting period because of the ATF. Luckily they kept it reserved for me, it was the last in stock. I paid $530 something after tax. The dealer I bought my XDm from sells it for $465 before tax. The extra money for the Tactical is VERY VERY worth it. I absolutely love the ghost ring sights, and with the rail I'm so tempted to put a red dot on it haha, not like I need it. Overall it is such a smooth gun. It's picky on what brand of shell I run through it but I recommend it to anyone.

There is, but it goes over the entire receiver and is held in with the pin. The one on my 870 Remington drilled and tapped the receiver to mount it, one of the main reasons I drove 75 miles to buy one.

AwPhuch the 870 Express and my Tactical differed in price by $120, if you like those sights better I understand. I wanted the rail and mag extension.

I love my Remington 870 Express Tactical. I need to post photos. I have swapped out the forend and stock for a Magpul MOE forend and a Blawkhawk SpecOps Gen II stock.

I'm thinking about the Blackhawk Gen 2 stock, keeping the stock forend, jumbo safety, mag tube tri-rail, and I have no clue on a sight. I need suggestions on a red dot. I dont like the open style, I want a tube style or a holographic sight.

Guess I will " throw down" in this thread. Mines not tactical. Just a plain jane 870 with the brown laminate furniture and an extended mod choke.
It wreaks havoc on clays! ( I shoot skeet/5 stand every Wednesday at the gun club)

There's a competition range here, they loan out guns. I need to go out there, they won't let me use my tactical haha.

I'm thinking about building up my remington 1100 and adding a nordic components tube extension and barrel clamp. Than adding the burris speed dot and getting some nice chokes for skeet
