Hello fellow shotgunners.

I have a parts question that I'd love some help with. Attached is a picture of a small ring that fell out of my Remington 870 Express .12 Gauge. I was doing a full clean and it fell out of the trigger group when I was handling it. I did not see which cavern of the trigger group it fell out of. If anyone has any idea what it is and what part of the trigger group I need to put it back into, let me know!

Thanks!

Haven't looked at an 870 trigger group in years, but it looks like a retainer clip that goes over one of hollow tubes that the trigger group retaining pins go in.
the flat part of the D is what grabs the pins to hold them in place.

See if one of the hollow pins has a slot in it that matches up with the trigger group retaining pin (not sure if that is the correct name, but the two pins that hold the whole trigger group into the receiver).

If that's not it, hopefully someone else can help.
