I'm fairly new to shotguns, and I recently joined a range that only allows slugs in shotguns on their range. This is the exact opposite of the rules from my last range (before I recently moved). I typically shoot #2 Buckshot, and have never even shot slugs before, so now I guess I have to buy some slug shells. I own a Mossberg SA 20. It's a tactical shotgun that only fires high velocity or at least 1 oz. shells. My question is...
Can I shoot "rifled slugs"? Right now that's the only 20 ga. shell available to me at my ammo store.
Thanks for your time and anticipated assistance.

If it's a smooth bore, shoot rifled. If it's rifled, shoot sabots.
