I converted my regular Remington 870 Express into an HD/Zombie killah. I'll post pix later.

A Maverick 88 i've cut down w/knoxx specops stock and a decent reflex sight.
I have added the blackhawk powerpak system to the knoxx stock since that picture was taken.

Oh, no RDS on it, it was just for kicks. But the Ghost sights are still on.

Not in the picture is my 50 round bandoleer and 25 round shell belt  guy has to be prepared for those damn zombies!
BTW, I love shooting this gun. It's one of my favorites.

One reason why I didnt choose the buttstock saddle was beause if you have to transition to your opposite hand....your done. none-the-less, it looks really nice!

That's where the pistol grip comes in handy. You can keep your grip and grab shells with the pumping hand and feed them into the magazine. Besides, if you go through 15 shots and don't have any cover or take out all the targets, you are in some real trouble. Plus I keep the slugs on the buttstock as an alternative to buckshot just in case.

Hey, have you taken shotgun defenive course or gone shooting in 3 guns or the sort? Sometimes, they force you to shoot opposite hands and my first time out I had a buttstock saddle, it messed me up when I had to transition from left to right (imma lefty) and the shells were right in my face. I couldnt aim right and I had to guess shoot the targets. That was when I decided Imma take it off. But, if you like it its fine, its personaly preference.
My ultimate zombie slayer...

That's my 12" 870 SBS. I need updated pics, though. I've changed/added a bit since then. It now wears a Vang Comp safety instead of the Wilson Combat one, a 4-round Mesa side saddle, Remington youth stock and a SpeedFeed forend with a strap to keep me from blowing my hand off.

Oh... and the front tritium bead (epoxied over the factory ramped bead) broke and flew off on my last range trip, so I need to get that fixed. :(

In a match yea take the butt saddle off. For zombie hords and survival, saddle on. The more rounds you can carry the better.
No pic but I have an 870 Express. 18 1/2" barrell, 8 shot ext. Blackhawk Knoxx adjustable stock with power pak and Blackhawk rubberized forend. I also have the origianl 28" barrell with fiber optic sights and 10 shot extension that I throw back on time to time when I want to shoot skeet with it. It looks like a beast though.
