Even though I just got Winchester SXP which I may end up selling if I like this one better, I found a good deal on a 1300 Defender in excellent condition. The wood furniture is more my style. I'll get some better pictures in the sun light.

I have one of these as well. It has been great and if you are lucky, you might be able to find a longer barrel for winged hunting or clay.

I don't know if your shot shell carrier will behave like mine does but with the shells turned "upside down" they won't work loose over extended shooting.

Here is mine. The barrel shroud can actually save you a scar or two on your forearm.

Where did you find the shroud? I like that. I haven't shot with the side-saddle installed yet. Actually, I haven't shot this gun. Saturday looks like it will be a decent day for range time.

Thanks. I looked them up on brownells. Reasonable price. I'll probably hold off. I don't want to over do the accessories on this one. Money is a little tight right now too.
