Hello,

I recently bought a house and found an old parker bros action in the garage. I am a trap shooter, so I'm trying to determine if i should make it a project or just sell it. Its a side by side, and looks to be either a 12ga.
After looking up serial numbers i know it was made in 1922.
The serial number is: 198377
And it has a diamond like symbol with OV in the middle
But i am unsure of the model or its worth.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks

Not much there and a field grade large action is not hard to find. I would sell it if I were you and let a young Parker nut be joy-boyed to get it.

If you get $200 you did really really well. 100-150 depending on how deep it's pitted etc.

Parker's and their parts are desirable to collectors. Our southern SxS event later this month will host the Parker Collectors Society, as well as the largest gathering of Parker enthusiasts in the country. It's not that far from Savannah, We will have folks from all over the world here. You probably won't get a fortune for your gun, but you will meet a lot of kindred spirits and the gun will wind up with someone who will either restore it or use the parts to keep another of these great American Classics running.
