I'm taking my 3-gun shotgun. I can run the piss out of it, and it has 5000 flawless shells through it in 10 months.

It's a Mossberg 930 with a custom 24" barrel threaded for chokes, F/O bead, mesa tactical side saddle, nordic components +5 extended tube, filled/polished elevator, and beveled/extended loading port.

I don't know man...I'm a big fan of military'ish weapons but a tactical SxS just seems off to me. When I bought my Coach Gun Supreme they actually had a Double Defense. I played around with it but just wasn't impressed. I gave a "meh" and handed it back to the guy before choosing my Supreme, he told me that most people react that way to it.

There's just some firearms in this world that shouldn't be made into a "tactical" firearm. Look at a Ruger tactical 10/22 or Gamo SOCOM series.

Give me a break. What are people really thinking they're getting when they buy these? A Tactical .22? A Tactical air rifle? What a joke.

I want a decent pump for two reasons, the ability to change out barrels, e.g. 28" vent rib with dual beads for shooting clays and an 18" home defense barrel.
This. Suits me perfectly for slugs and clays at the range, and buckshot and slugs when necessary (hopefully never, but they're here...)

A man just can't limit himself to one shottie, it just ain't right

I have a nice tacticool Saiga12.
I'm very familiar with it and confident in it's and my abilities for home/property defense.

However, right now I'm in the market for either a Rem 870 or a Mossberg 500.

And on my wish list are, Mossberg 590A1 SPX and a good entry level O/U , e.g. Mossberg Silver Reserve 12g/28".
A warm welcom home to my new Mossy 500 12g Field & Deer combo, which had its first range trip today! :D
I have a 18.5" security barrel in transit, due to arrive Wednesday.
I'm going to put a Meprolight Tru-Dot front sight on it.

Well, I've owned Remington 870 in 12 ga. Black rubberized stock, extended tube, side sling mounts, 18 inch rifled and sighted deer barrel. It shot really nice, but it was a heavy little mofo to pack about, with a 5 box load of 00 and slugs.

So I sold it to a "family" member, and bought an 870 in 20 ga. I'm putting similar hardware on it, and taking a refresher tactical class in a couple of weeks. We'll see what it performs like then. :) 20 ga won't kill my neighbors, and should do just fine for home defense. Much lighter weight wise, and lighter ammo as well. :)
