I found this Harrington & Richardson shotgun hanging on a wall in New Mexico and am curious what information anyone might be able to pass on. It is wrapped in studded buckskin with a Wells Fargo shield on stock and a hinge attached to butt plate. I imagine the hinge would give more area to rest on in the crook of ones hip. Thanks, d

Well I am pretty sure that the side mounted sling swivel on the forend is the butt swivel off of a 1917 US Enfield rifle. Most interesting though is the gated hinge pin on the action side. That looks very original, and I have not seen another like it. That added on buttplate hinge, I have no idea. Curious old gun. . . .
