Note this is the only part of the barrel that has this, the rest of the barrel is fine
A brass wire brush should be fine to use, or even better if you've got some 3M scuff pads cut off a small piece & work it around. The 3M pads come in different grits, the grey is super fine & the red is a bit more course. Either should work fine.Well just gone done using some solvent and a q tip first and nothing, be safe to use wire brush try and get this stuff off? Or should I even worry about it? You cant feel it with the touch
I bet if you take a paper towel, and some WD, it will come right off. The barrel is steel, it's strong, you can clean it with cloth, plastic brush, copper brush, brass brush, etc.Cool ill just get some wd 40 and the brush. Its it alright to scrub that one spot through the front of the barrel? Or do I have to get a long cleaning rod and go one direction or just through the front? Oh and no I haven't shot it yet
Thanks!!! Will def do so and post an update, hepfully this rust comes off it seems to be really in there!I bet if you take a paper towel, and some WD, it will come right off. The barrel is steel, it's strong, you can clean it with cloth, plastic brush, copper brush, brass brush, etc.
If you're really lazy, and don't want to clean it, shoot a few shotshells through it, and I bet that will do the trick.
