Hello all,

New to the forum, been looking around for some info on gun I might buy. Its a Ted Williams model 300 12ga. I know its basically a winchester 1400 clone, i have read some good and bad about it. I was looking for a cheap semi auto to shoot clays, pheasants, maybe wood ducks. Any ways i brought it home to give it a once over, and noticed the barrel is slightly loose in the forend, while the nut? is tight as i can get it with my hand. Any thoughts on this? Oh i can pick it up for $150, good deal or pass?

Thanks

welcome. normally for 150, you cant go wrong, but they are very cheaply made guns and you need to recheck the assy. that bbl should be tight. if it cant be tightened, pass on it.

Any idea what causes this to be loose, I've taken the barrel off and nothing s
eems excessively worn?
