I am not sure any amount of cat piss can do the damage you mentioned.

I have seen cat urine destroy thick chromed wheels, not the new POS thin chrome, but the 1960's chrome that is super heavy.

Strip the gun and recoat it to whatever color you want. If you want it reblued find a local guy, if possible, and have him put it in with a batch he is doing.

Have you ever lived with a cat? We had one that would drop a deuce in the shoes of anyone who pissed her off. She "ran off" on day after doing it to me.

sounds like a lot of guys spent more time with X than the cat so cat pissed on X... tools guns and so on.

I say finish stripping then duracoat, or if you wan to be lazy some finishes you can spray on. low price 870s finish is not that fancy really.

I say chalk it up for experience, get it reblued and don't ever let that cat anywhere around the same zipcode again. Because if that cat went there once he will do it again.
