Winchester PDX1 great if you have good aim. But any buck shot will work great:) h3// birdshot will really make them wish that they were not breaking into your house.
birdshot is NOT a defensive round...the teeny weeny little pellets will not penetrate enough to "STOP" a threat..you want badguy to sitdown, shutup and stop doing what he is doing...

12" of penetration needed to be "effective"

Badguy goes owwww...but continues to carve you and your family up...nope...make him STOP!

And yes..ALL of you knew this was coming...hah

9mm vs 45 next..hahahahah

I want to know the "rest of the story" about the guy with the 200 pellet holes in his bach. Did he continue to fight or did he run like hell to get away? We all want to know the rest of the story.

You wanna get shot with bird shot??at close range?? I don't think so.
Dumbest argument in favor of any caliber/load that you can possibly make.

None of us here want to get shot; no rational person does. However, if you're gambling that someone who breaks into your home is going to be rational, you may be dead wrong.

You want a round that will punch deep and not give them a choice in the matter.

That being said--low recoil 00 buck. Follow up shots are easy, especially in semi-autos; at 7 yards, I've had all 5 cases in the air, and 40 holes in the target (shotgun was a Benelli M1).

That oughtta stop 'em.
