Here is the culmination of 3 years of trying to find the right combination of weight, size, capacity, and ergonomics. And I am very happy with the results. I tried many configurations of barrel length, sights, stocks, lights, etc and this is my final and favorite configuration.

Mossberg M590
XS Big Dot tritium bead
Hogue 13" LOP stock and forend from Aimpro
Laserlyte tri rail mount
Insight M3X with Malkoff conversion
DD QD sling mount
IWC QD micro QD sling mount
Blue Force Gear VCAS
HSGI 5 round shotshell velcro sidesaddle
Brownells enhanced safety
GGG follower
Wolff extra power spring

My only dislike about if at all is that the light illuminates 1/3 of the front bead at an angle accross it when activated, but this is a minor gripe. A Streamlight TLR-1 does the same thing, but if I switch to a X300 later that might solve the issue.

It shoots great, not too much recoil and flawless cycling. The pattern is rather loose with most ammunition, but that is to be expected of a standard barrel.

You can't go wrong with a Mossi. My buddy and I would swap my Remington 870 for his Mossberg 500 for pheasant hunting. I like the safety on the 500. Good gun.

i have a new surefire 623 LMG for grip light for my 590 A 1 with speedfeed stock and ghost rings . anyone no how to install the sure fire light
