with a little work on the wood, that could be a great looking gun.

the newer Remmys and Mossbergs just don't have good looking stocks

the older guns had a nice finish on the wood, that barely looks like it was touched other than sanding off the splinters.

**** man that's solid Walnut with a lite coat of stain. Smooth as a babies ass............Not a flaw in it and damn sure aint none that laminated bullchit......lol It does need to be oiled......

fair enough, I haven't handled one of the newer stocked guns.

I prefer the look of the walnut on my older mossy with a little gloss finish on it.

Wood over polymer stocks all day long though on the short barrel pump guns!

I hear ya I too would like to swap my 500 furniture over to the walnut...Did yours come with it or did you purchase aftermarket?
