My new piece...

I purchased this new Remington 870 (18" barrel, 6+1 capacity) earlier this month from Bud's Gun Shop in Lexington, KY for $321. Thought it was a good deal and purchased it as a basis for a tactical shotgun build. I'm very excited, but haven't got to pattern it yet. I need to find a place close to do that. I'll post pics as I add components to the build so you all can track it's progress. I know I love watching other members' rigs come together, and I know a lot of love our fair share of gun "porn". I'm also looking for recommendations for buckshot and slug loads to try in it. Right now I have Hornady TAP 2 3/4" 00 buckshot.

I have a remmy, and it's a good gun. It will shuck the worst shells and keep on a goin.
Congrats on the new shotgun. For slugs you might want to try winchester 2 3/4" rifled slugs/hollow point. I get them at wally mart for less than $10 a box of 15. I have put almost a 100 of them through my mossy 500 and with the red dot I have mounted they are very accurate.
I use the same brand/size 00buck shells in the 15 round box to practice with at the range. For HD I keep federal 000buck power shock in the mag tube. Maybe overkill but if I have to grab my shotty, things are really going bad. Better to have and not need, than need and not have IMHO.
