Man oh man - I'm on cloud nine!!!!! So I got up this morning, and my wife says to me - "You should go to the gun store today, and get that gun you've been wanting"

After picking up my jaw from the floor - I said OK! I'm going right now, before you change your mind!!! :D LOL

So, I've been debating between the Mossy 590 and a Remmy 870. When I got to Allen Arms here in Greenville, my eyes were immediately drawn to a beauty on the wall! Frank Allen's son walked out of the back, and said - You look like you want to buy this shotgun - I said "Yup!"

He went to the back, grabbed a brand new in the box 870 Express Synthetic with the extended shot tube (making it 7+1) and laid it on the counter. He didn't have any 590's in stock, so I took this as a sign to go ahead and get the 870 :)

Picked up a side saddle for it as well - good start for a great zombie gun

Anyway - Like I said, I'm on cloud nine - can't wait to get it out and shoot it!!!! Common weekend!!!!

you can never go wrong with the 870. a classic that is proven and reliable. now you need some ghost ring sights and you'll be set. wish my wife would tell me to go buy a gun! lol

I gotta say, I was in SHOCK when she told me to go get it! Last gun I purchased, it took a long time negotiating :)

As for ghostrings - definitely!!! It will be my first upgrade for it for sure! Well second if you count the side saddle I put on it already :) It wasn't a virgin for very long! About 1 hour out of the box ;)

I've got the same shotty. I've added a side saddle, telescoping stock w/ pistol grip, and sling.

I'd love to get a Surefire forend, but I can't wrap my head around buying a forend that costs as much as the gun.

Let us know what you think when you shoot it. Congrats.

Congrats!

You will soon find out that you have bought a fantastic shotgun. I bought the Tactical version last year and absolutely love it.

I've put a few hundred rounds through it and I believe I have just began to break her in. Sidesaddle is a great addition. Just put one on mine a few months ago along with a new stock. Also was given a Surefire forend by a friend and absolutely love it!
Tomorrow I pick up my new Xd-40 Tactical so I look forward to the high you have right now.
Enjoy!

congratulations! I just bought a twin version about a month ago, minus the side saddle. That will come later. Mine set me back $339 out the door. Probably gonna throw some Mesa Tactical goodies on her, but no mods as of yet.
