Ok my boss has and wants me to look at (brings it in a day or two to work) a mossberg he thinks 835 but is unsure, 12 gauge and says depending on the ammo used you have to replace something to get it to operate. anyone know what I"m talking about? Only stuff I've ever seen do this are teh ruger sr556 and the 240 GOLF machine gun.

I tried to google your inquiry and I came up with nothing. I do have a Mossberg 930 SPX but it's nowhere close to what you're looking for....

You've peaked my curiosity... I'll google some more.

If he thinks it is an Mossberg 835 Than he has a pump action. Than if it has screw in choke tubes that would be the only thing to chance for different loads.
ie: slugs / lead shot / steel shot / turkey loads.
