yea at a local gunshop they have a used mossberg 600 for $135 plus tax was wondering if that is a good price what is the difference between the 600 and the 500 and what problem areas should I look at it

Sounds like a fair deal to me. I don't even think you can get the Mossberg Maverick for less than that anymore.

well here is an update I bought it yesterday, havent been to the range yet but wow its so light compared to my buddys knock off 870 he bought from academy. I looked up the weight and his is almost twice the weight of mine, he saids he like his guns heavy for some wierd reason. will post pics soon already orderd a tacstar side saddle from cheaperthandirt last night, it will be here tomorow plus a new range bag.

Real good deal for $135, I missed one, it was a Revelation 500 for $75 once. Same as Mossberg just different name once again.

im a little sad I was going to mount a red dot on it but it doesnt have the holes on top to mount a rail is there any other way of mounting a optic on here

I would think that b-square makes a mount that utilizes the pins in the receiver. Of course with the saddle you put on that may no longer be an option. I don't really know what's out there for tactical options but that is where I would start. Good luck to you, I'm sure you will find something.
