Have Model 101 since mid 80s that has been a closet queen. 32” Bbls Considering having it choked with screw in chokes and having it ported. Suggestions on who would do a nice job. Its been suggested not to do it as it would devalue the gun but meanwhile it sits!

Might just sell it and use the money to get a gun which is ported and has screw in chokes.

I’m sure folks will chime in on chokes. I’ll suggest avoiding ports . I have them. They just make the gun louder to the rest of the squad . I really don’t think they do anything to reduce muzzle rise or reduce recoil .

I don’t think I’ve ever read a post where someone was glad their gun was ported .

I shoot a Browning 725 that's ported from the factory. I don't believe the porting does much of anything but that's the way the shotgun came from the factory.
