Alright, so I looked online and saw a few cheek rest but their either out of my price range or doesnt fit the stock Im looking for. I got tired of surfing the net and tired of looking around and waiting for the shipment so I decided I was going to make one.
Back when I was younger I use to make alot of airsoft/paintball bazooka for event days. Well, I had alot of PVS pipes laying around so I decided I was going to use one for my cheek rest.

I used a 3" pvc pipe and cut it to fit the collapsible stock. I then hack saw in the center to open up the pipe and put it in boiling water for about 5 minutes. I hand mold the pvc pipe to my liking and put it on the sand belt for a few minutes and wa-la! I then painted it flat black and the project was done. Took about 20-25 minutes to make. :)

I needed the cheek rest to level my eyes with the RDS. At first I was just using beads so I didnt need it. Anyways, heres the before and after pic:

Not too shabby for a 20 minute project eh? What ya think?

That's a bad ass 500 you have there.
How do you keep it from rocking forwards and backwards with only 1 screw holding it in place?

YOu see on the bottom part of the cheek rest? how it has a little curve on it? Yeah, that part is clamped on the buttstock so its the second "mount" point and keeps it from rocking. Works good so far...but we'll see once I fire more rounds to see if it actually holds up.
