I took the Saiga 12 out for the first time after converting it. I seems to like low brass now. This is Federal. 2 3/4 in., 7 1/2 shot, 12ga. It had no problems cycling it.

What was the conversion that you did? I just ask because my father-in-law just picked up a saiga 12 and is really upset that it won't reliably shoot low-brass.

I installed a tapco G-2 trigger group forward where it should be and mounted a pistol grip where the trigger was. I installed a new tapco gas puck. The net is full of videos on how to convert the saiga.

I shot a converted saiga that was sbrd and man was that thing a bastard on the shoulder. However the smile it gave me was well worth it.

I did all the work myself and the parts were around $150.00.

IMO' The S-12 is the baddest HD/SD shotgun you can get.

The real test is hip shooting. Once you get it all broken in with 00 buck and slugs you can hip shoot it with anything. Let me tell you, it was a lot of fun breaking in my cousin's Saiga!
