The 39A was made between 1939 and 1947. They're not worth a great deal but if maintained correctly are good reliable field guns for small game and make a great kid's first shotgun.
Numrich has a schematic and parts list for the 39A along with a number of parts.
Here's an article of disassembly and reassembly.
I have a Stevens model 59 which is pretty much the same shotgun. Mine is well used but still works perfectly and will handle 2 1/2" and 3" shells.
Some pics of yours would be nice.
