As the title states, i would like to buy one of these for my dad since he just gave me a 22.
He always talks about wanting one but wont buy one himself,so i figured id hook him up with a little gift.
He neglects what few guns he has so i dont want to spend a lot of money, but i also dont wanna buy something that sucks, so any recomendations are highly appreciated.

They also carry H&R .410 (basically the same gun as the NEF) but its out of stock. I don't have a .410 ,but I do have a H&R 12 gauge single shot, its been a good gun, I've had it for almost 20 years with no issues...good luck

we have a gun called "Snake Charmer" - its a single shot short barrelled .410. We've had it several years so no idea of cost but it wasn't expensive - wife keeps it in with her gardening tools - we have lotsa snakes!

I second the recommendation for the snake charmer. I've had mine for 10 yrs. Perfect for muskrats and other small pests.

I'd check pawn shops and local sporting goods/gun stores that take trades. I just shot an old Mossberg .410 bolt action that's been in my family for 50+ years this weekend. That's a fun old gun!

I'd either go to a shop and look for a used Stevens. I've seen them for under $100. I have one that I've used since late 70's and it wasn't new when I got it.

Or go to Academy and check out their Yildiz shotguns

the snake charmers I've seen were ugly. Sure, they work but don't look near as nice as the NEF.

I agree 100%. I have had a snake charmer for more than a decade now and all kinds of animals have fell over dead just at the thought of being shot with it.

The thing is just disgusting. Who ever thought looks would ever kill.....
