This is my Remington 870 express combo that I have next to nothing in. A guy owed me 100 bucks for over a year and a half. He works for a company that hauls our equipment. and I asked his boss (hunter) if he knew anyone that had any shottguns for sale....Long story short the guy that owed me the cash had a brand new (never fired)870 rem express combo that he gave me to call it even. I was excited, because I basically wrote off that he would ever pay me.

The range I shoot at has a mossburg 500 on rental with a Knoxx spec ops stock...I shot it once and fell in love with it. I know the owner and he order me one for his cost...I didn't even have to pay the tax on it, as I am down there quit a bit and have helped him sell quite a few things.

I added a Tac Star 8 shot metal mag tube extension. I had my range owner order me a black hawk shell holder sling. I had already installed an ATI buttstock shell holder before the sling was ordered.

I bought a scope mount and then added a Tasco 50mm red/green dot. I just ordered an ATI barrel heat shield with ghost ring sights on it.

So whatcha think?

and here are the three of them together

I guess I'll give cliff notes....

A Tac Star 8 shot metal mag tube extension

Black Hawk/KNOXX spec ops recoil suppression stock and fore end

Black hawk Tactical shell holder sling

Tasco 50mm red/green dot

ATI buttstock poly shell holder

Anything and everything....lol

For HD I have some lawman slugs and 00 buck shot that I alternate.

I might put a light on it, but would prolly need to get a mag tube support on there as well. Only time will tell

Very nice. Great price.

Tell me about your sling, though. Did you need those Blackhawk sling swivels to attach it to the weapon? I've been thinking about the same sling, but I was told that it won't attach directly to the weapon.
Yes and no.. I had already bought the swivel kit from a local walmart for 10 bucks. When I had the sling ordered, it did not come with the swivels. but i didn't say I wanted them. I'm prety sure they come either way.

this is also why I wanted a metal Mag tube extention. I had to be a little creative on the metal mag tube front sling mount as the alum was thicker than the depth of the bolt. it would be fine with a regular remington or mossburg tube cap, but the plastic (or polymer) mag ext, I don't think would hold up if you actually used this out in the woods (which I will do from time to time)

Very nice!! but I would possibly think about flipping the shells in that side saddle carrier so that if you go to grab them to load them quickly you can stay on target while loading without having to put your loading hand in front of your face. just a thought..again very nice though!

How bad does the sling pendulum on you when your moving with it? Probably not enough to hurt your aim at HD ranges, but seems like it would get annoying to me.

yeah deffinitely needs a mag tube clamp. That thing will break right off if you're not careful. I prefer side saddles to stock shell holders. Puts them right there by the magwell. Otherwise it looks like a nice start. Good work.

I ended up with the same sling. Someone here suggested wrapping the sling around your front forearm as your grip the slide. In doing that, there is no "swing"...

FTR, though, I have my sling on the other way... Mine has the 15 shells up front, near the barrel, rather than back near the butt.
