I'm in the flat lands of NW Iowa. Got my first shotgun last Christmas (Remington 870 12ga). I liked it so much when the 20ga version was on sale at the LGS I picked one up for when the boys get a little older.
Joined the trap league this summer at Sportsmans Park near Cylinder and had a great time. Glad I didn't come in last. Trap reminds me of golf or bowling. It has just enough dumb luck that you think "Hey, I'm pretty good at this" and you get those occasional great shots, but it still requires some skill and can be very challenging.
Look forward to a new hobby and would like to start hunting too.
