Hello all. I am new to this site and I have to say I am impressed with all the knowledge on here. I am fairly new to the gun world and have a "newbie" problem.

I have just installed an ATI tactical forend on my Remington 870 20 ga. I am not a gunsmith by any shape of the imagination. My problem is that the forend wobbles side to side on the gun. It cycles shells okay. Everything works great but this "slack" in the forend. I need to tighten it somehow because it is driving me crazy. The instructions say something about purchasing a rubber o-ring or washer of a certain size and install to tighten it up "some" but does not say where to install it. The ATI videos on their site are of no help. I need some advice about what to do. The shotgun is a youth 20 ga. but I don't know how the "youth" part would affect anything. To my knowledge the youth just means the LOP is shorter. Please help.

I would not use a rubber washer or and O ring. When you shoot the gun and work the action it will work the material until it breaks and then you are back to square one. It might work great for a safe queen only hand cycled, perfect if that is all you plan on doing with it other than taking a few pics.

I would get some thin copper wire and wrap it around where the nut you screw onto the action to secure the foregrip meets up. It will be tight and you can use as much as you need. It will also work forever and never need to be replaced.
