Home school haiku

the clock tick tick tocked,
until midnight it dinged dong,
then the screams began.

until we all ran,
from the beast that haunted us,
it rose from the grave.

then with a shotgun,
click, click, boom went the beast's head,
tick, tick, tock, ding, dong.



this was an original work from my family at home school. what do you think?

Haikus in English always sound a little odd to me. With that being said, it's about as good as can be done.

It works better as a lemrick, lol:

The clock tick-tocked till 12.
Then plates fell off a shelf.
Someone's inside,
He tried to hide.
My 12 gauge sent him to hell. ;)
