I remember my Grand dad telling me about this when I was younger. Never tried it as slugs and buckshot are easy to find but it really looks like it would work well. I am just wondering how it would work in a pump or auto with the shell weakened would it jam the gun?

Interesting to say the least, but, it does have a purpose when shooting large game when you only have birdshot . .

shells need to be fluorescent green, then you could call it zombie ammo . .

and to go from shot shell to equivalent of 70 cal, yep, good home defense ammo . .

I wonder what the comparison for a 20 gauge would be?

He mentions to not feed cut shells from magazine. however, he does shoot some of the wax slugs through a saiga.

I think it would be great for a break action like he was using but try that with the Siaga like shown, a semi like a Mossberg or Benelli, or even a pump, I think the cycling would tear/ deform/ bend that 1/8" retaining strap and bind up in the action. Good knowledge to know just incase... but again, I wouldn't run it the a repeater/ pump.
