Help me pimp out my 870!

:D So I just bought an 18" Remmy 870 from a member of the board here. This is my new HD gun, and I want to hook it up a bit. What I'm mainly asking for is a good place to buy my accessories. Where do ya'll usually buy your "Tacti-cool" accessories? I've found several different places online, but I would like to hear some of your personal experiences, and I'd like to find a place that offers quality stuff at good prices.

I want:

A pistol grip, or PG +stock, AR style.
A "Saddle" or whatever for holding about 6 additional shells
A sling
A flashlight w/mount

Also, what ideas do ya'll have for mounting the gun in my closet? I need it at least 5 ft off the ground so my son can't get to it.

Thanks for any help!

BTW, if your son is old enough to walk, he'll figure out some way to get past the 5 ft limit. If you have a child, you need a gunsafe or something like a Mossberg Loc-Box. To do it any other way is, IMO, reckless. Just a thought/My $0.02!
you could screw hangers on the inside wall above the doors.
Home BLACKHAWK!

I'll have to check out blackhawk some more maybe tonight. Thanks! I really like the idea of hanging it over the door in my office. I'll prolly do that.

What is a good price for (economical) lighting on my 870? I saw a nice, thin flashlight on that blackhawk site for $40. 35 lumens…good enough?

? how about a blacklight fixed over top of it?

so you look evil getting it down... it helps to chase away the ZOMBIES

Surefire G2's are great lights and run about $35. I have 2 of them.
IMO the only AR style shotgun stocks worht owning are knoxx recoil stocks and possibly choate (rumor only never used ) but they bothh bring the shotgun up a bit which helps with recoil a lot.

the ATI 6 pos are flimsy and worthless.

Get IMO

Speedfeed, (standard or with pistol grip)
Knoxx recoil or standard
ATI foldover is actually solid enough not grand but solid enough thicker plastic than their 6 pos by a longshot
choate stock is what I"m looking at but I haven't physically used one yet.
35 lumens is a joke. If you're wanting a light for something like your house you'll want at least 80 actual lumens. Just know most companies flat out lie about their lumen output. Companies like surefire and fenix typically wont, but check out flashlightreviews.com first and make your decision.
Thanks for the suggestions guys! Keep 'em comin'.

+1 On the Blackhawk stuff. Cabella's carries the stock and forend, KNOXX Spec Ops with recoil suppression system. It's worth every penny IMOP. Then order the Power Pak cheek piece for it.
Finding some decent prices on fleabay. Might got that route. I want the Knoxx stock, but it's a lil' pricey on my current budget. ($$ the wife doesn't know about ;))
^^^ Just wait a little longer and save up. Don't settle. $10 to $20 here and there and before you know it you'll have enough for the KNOXX.
HD Shotgun = KISS
BUT I GOTTA SCARE THE ZOMBIES!! :D

Really, I'm not making it that complex. New stock, flashlight, and a mount for a few extra shells. All pretty functional mods IMHO.

Yes, all good mods. But i think a flashlight mount and side saddle would be it. Sling is 50/50. Pistol grip...not nessasary. but those are my opinon too. :)
Shell tube extension is a must
Agreed. This one came with the factory one; 6+1.
Here's mine:

I went with the knoxx SpecOps stock from eBay
Tactstar six shot side saddle
GG&G front sling mount
Tapco tactical two pt sling
Surefire G2 led
Tactstar light/barrel clamp
Modded truglo universal front fiber optic front site

All in all I probably have roughly 250 in accessories on it.

If you really want to get carried away, try scatterguntechnologies. Another good company is Mesa Tactical. Mesa deals with shotgun accessories exclusivly.
Yeah I've checked out Mesa, heard of scatter. I should update with pics! So far I have the Knoxx spec ops recoil reducing stock, a tacstar sidesaddle (6), and a Blackhawk sling. Haven't installed the sling yet, but right now she's looking SWEET! I can't wait to shoot it. (whenever that is. Prolly May :()
