i've been looking for a shotgun for a while now and am so stoked. i originally really wanted a saiga but i can't justify 1k+ to get one and have it converted. i did more research and decided the 500 was the way to go especially since there is such a strong third party market with accessories for it... so if i ever want to go the 'tacticool' route i'll be able to. after i thought about it i really don't need all the frills for my first SG that will be used mostly for HD.
an even better plus is that i found one of the combo sets at Big 5 and it's on sale, almost $100 off ($289 + tax = about $320)! it's the field/HD combo so i get both the 18.5" and 28" barrels which is even better because i want to start hunting and now the birds are on notice.
