I bet there are a few funny non safety issue stories out there.

Here is one of mine,

Duck hunting with my older brother in our 13ft Boston Whaler. I would sit on my old single shot but hold his new Wingmaster so it would'nt get scratched.

Heading home pretty fast and hit some big waves, yup, you guessed it, his new gun went over the side. I thought his head was going to explode but he said nothing except (while handing me the end of a rope) "Go get it"

35ft of murky water, in November, in Connecticut, I was over the side in a flash.

It took me 4 or 5 dives to get it and I cleaned it for 2 days straight, LOL

To this day I have never touched another one of his guns, the story is still good for a laugh at family gatherings, well he does'nt laugh.

Once, while shooting sporting clays, in Florida, I got to take a couple of shots with Hal DuPont's $50,000 Kreighoff. Did you knoe that it is just as easy to miss with an expensive gun?

When I was stationed at Cape Canaveral my Chief was always
bragging about his Sweet Sixteen that he had owned forever.
Well, he decides to challenge me to a skeet shoot. I declined
because the only shotgun that I owned at that time was a Mossy
500 with a cylinder bore 20" barrel. He called me chicken every
day for a week before I finally gave in and accepted the challenge.
He wasn't very happy when I beat him by three pigeons.
He never talked about his shotgun after that. Matter of fact, he
never mentioned that day again until I was getting ready to leave.
He walked up, put out his hand and mumbled something about
how he still couldn't believe that I could hit 20 of 25 with a riot gun.

I learned when me and a chilhood friend was 11 yrs. old, that hornets don`t like thier homes shot with a .410 & #6 shot! Dang things chased us for what seemed like miles lol. He got stung once. My hat saved me. I dropped the gun and hauled butt. Had to go back next day and get it. Boys will be boys.

I have one that's not funny but presentation of a 6 inch nickel M19 .357 S & W chased away a pair of illegal alien serial killers who were trying to run a young lad and his love off a back HWY. They were arrested by the California HWY Patrol, two weeks later

DAYUM! Good you came along. When hunting out in south west Tx. several years ago, 5 of them approached me and a fellow hunter in camp one evening. Said they were hungry and were going to take our food and money. When the hardware came out and they realized it was a hunting camp, they did a disappearing act.

They played car tag for 10 miles trying to get at her, but the minute that magnum came out they ran like scalded jackrabbits

I had a far superior car but it was her commute car and I was trying not to use it as a ram

They had been blasting innocent drivers for months out there with a sawed off 12 GA. I knew it was them from their mugs in the Sacramento Bee newspaper
