Wow! Look real sweet! I love the muzzle porting. I do know that FN has a great rep for makeing great weapons. I wouldn't be very afraid to buy one and see for myself.

Does anyone own one of these? I'm seriously considering a purchase soon and would like some input. Also looking for a source for accessories. Thanks.
what accessories?

is pretty loaded with tacticool gear already.

side note. i was looking at getting one a few months back, but for the time being i think i am going to build my remmy 870 super mag express.

also i have seen them much cheaper at buds $571
http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/37_246/products_id/17640

in terms of input its based on a winchester design. I think the 1300 if i remember correctly. FNH owns winchester and browning ... so some of the stuff is cross branded, like they sell FN highpowers 9mm as well as the browning highpower.

this is a winchester action, with some neat tacticool doodads, and if you add it all up, its quite a great value.

FN doesnt mess around, they make great guns.

Even though i have a 870, i still want this FN.

1/2 of me wants to keep the 870 traditional as my hunting rifle, then buy the FN as my HD shotty.

this was on the buds description for the poster about the choke options.

The FN Police Shotgun has a four-lug rotary bolt that locks directly to the barrel. This design enables very quick disengagement of the bolt after firing for extremely fast follow up shots. The inertia generated as a shell fires actually starts the forearm and slides movement rearward. Front and rear sights for enhanced accuracy are standard, and the receiver is drilled and tapped. FN shotguns has a fixed choke. To facilitate the use by officers wearing body armor or tactical vest, the FN Police Shotgun has a shorter stock. Then length of pull is 13 1/2 inches, which is 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch shorter than most other shotguns.
Specification
  • Gauge: 12ga
  • Chamber: 3"
  • Operation: Rotary Bolt, Pump Action
  • Receiver: Drilled and Tapped for installation of Optional Sights.
  • Chokes: Tactical Police- Fixed & Screw-In Rem chokes Police Shotgun- Interchangeable Chokes IC, Mod *SUPPPLIED

Bud's had a good price on it, but no telling when that last one sold. I've dealt with them before and would buy one from them in a heartbeat if they had one. Gunbroker is getting from 7-8 hundred bucks plus shipping. As for accessories...I want an optical sight, sling and probably a light. I really need this thing. I've got some vicious squirrels out back.

I found out why the one you saw at Buds was so much cheaper. It has a fixed choke. The ones with the internal threads and the two chokes are around $730. Moot point anyway, since they are out of stock. I'm still looking.
