The one hole in my gun collection is a shotgun of any kind. Once my shoulder is done rehabbing I want to start 3-gunning. Just got my new AMerican Rifleman and saw the ad for it with an Xrail mounted on it. Nice Rig!

Anyone have an SLP and have any complaints?

I have an SLP but I don't have any complaints. I love mine. Was shooting a Benelli SuperNova for a year or two prior to the SLP. While the SuperNova is a great pump shotgun, I felt like I was cheating at the training courses after I switched over to the SLP. I put an EOTech on it (because I could) and have more fun with it than is probably legal. :D

It would want more details about it, I'll try to answer any questions you have. It's headed (along with me) to a 4 day advanced tactical shotgun course in December. Can't wait for that one.
I guess I should add though, due to the 18" barrel, it requires heavier loads for it to function flawlessly. If you spring for a longer barrel for practice it will eat just about anything you can throw at it.

That being said, Ive experienced the same thing with the Benelli M4's in the past as well. Short semi's just dont like light loads.
My SLP is the Mark1 model, which sports a 22" barrel and longer magazine.

I can shoot reduced recoil 7/8 ounce slugs through it using the light piston. Using the heavy piston, I can reliably cycle 1 1/8 oz. Federal bird shot, although you can tell it would rather use the light piston. I routinely practice with 1 oz. Federal Truball reduced recoil slugs and also use them at training. They will cycle either piston but after multiple days with no maintenance, the heavy piston will let you know its time to clean up or simply use the light piston. The light piston is rated for loads less than 1.5 oz. so it is not an issue to use it with the slugs and buckshot loads I run.
She's a beauty, I wouldn't mind owning one!

I'm not super pleased with my Mossberg 930SPX's reliability.

I have been hearing bad things about to 930SPX and it makes me sad because they look cool and sport a good price tag.
I guess one day ill just get the SLP or maybe, if im lucky enough an M4!

Oh man an M4! Those make my pants feel tight!

I think the 930SPX is hit or miss, some other owners get very upset as if I insulted their manhood when I say my personal weapon has had a number of failures to feed despite trying at least 8 different types of ammo and put at least a 100 rounds of high power slugs through it for the recommended break in period. I think it just needs some TLC from a gunsmith and she'll be fine. When it's running good it's shooting great, very enjoyable!
BTW I built mine up following this guy's write up:

Zombine Hunter....do you own a Jeep TJ by any chance?
I have done lot of research on them and am looking for a used one that is a significant break on the new Mark 1 price, no luck as of yet though.

Has anyone compared this to the new Remington TAC4?

No I've owned 4 Jeeps in my life but currently I'm car-less. I sold my car before coming to Afghanistan here, they gave me some sweet MRAPs to get around, I'm glad I'm not paying for gas!
