Copper plated (buck)shot?

I know it's readily available in loaded form, but curious to find a good source of just the pellets to do my own reloads with.

Have not found much of anything searching online, anyone load plated shot or know of a good vendor?

I'm game for nickel plated shot also and am specifically looking for OO mostly but would also like to maybe find some #4 buck and OOO plated stuff also in say, 5 or 25lb bags.

Thanks!

Or, for less than the price of 8 pounds, you could buy a mold and cast wheelweight. Anything you hit with it won't be able to tell the difference.

Just a thought.

You could cast your own and plate them? The Youtube link has a 3 part video to plate bullets sure you could adapt to Buckshot if you were so inclined?

Cast from wheelweight, it's harder than any nickel-washed offering BP has. If you want something slipperier (another claim of platerd shot proponents), Liquid Alox will do the job nicely.

Several years ago I played around with plating gaschecks on cast bullets. Actually worked out pretty well, after a few flops.

Precision Reloading has nickle plated 00 buck in 10 # containers.
Gamaliel Shooting Supply has #4 copper plated in 10# bags
