I was shocked at their meltdown! Hamilton's pouting and dropping that fly ball was just a disgrace. I hope they don't give him a big contact because I feel like his play and attitude towards the end of the season ruined it for the whole team.

I agree. If it weren't for the home runs and RBI's, mr h wouldn't have any value at all in my opinion. Too many "health issues" to deal with. Then, consider how Beltre and a few others deal with pain and discomfort as compared to mr h. I'd say trade mr h for three unnamed rookies and one has-been, while there's still some value. Too bad we couldn't get all the goodie out of Chris Davis (he's a local boy in my neck of the woods). Glad to see him making his mark in the play-offs.

I was in disbelief. I`m a Texas boy also, working out of state but love my Tx. teams. Don`t know what happened other than they were/are too full of themselves as happens with championship teams. :( As far as football, Dallas can`t get out of first gear but the Texans are looking good. :D

I decided to stay in my office last night and avoid the Yankees/Orioles game, with the exception of sneaking an occassional "peek". Surprised to see it go to the 12th inning and did see the walk-off home run. Even though our hometown boy (Chris Davis) didn't make much of a contribution last night, it was very rewarding to see a-rod get benched and his "old timer" replacement was the star of the show. We wasted a lot of capital on a-rod back when.

The beauty of being a Cubs fan is the season is effectively over the day after Opening Day.

My Dad was a die hard Red Sox fan. Dad lived 82 years and never lived to see his beloved Sox win the World Series.
At least I got to see them win. It was bitter-sweet.
I miss ya, Dad. :(

the world ends when baseball season ends.
then all the freaky games come out and show their head to entertain the masses, until the main event returns.
